Gin Blossoms in the Park

So I knew I knew the Gin Blossoms, but until I heard them play, I couldn't remember their songs (by title). It brought back memories of the kids in jr. high/high school.....a LONG time ago! Anyway, I loved that when they started playing, Logan immediately got up off of the quilt, grabbed 2 plastic spoons and started wiggling her little body and playing the spoons. I tried to get a pic...and it's not the best in the world, cuz she kept stopping as soon as i aimed the camera at her, but it was still cute. Even Jake was liking just hanging out looking up at the trees and loving being outside. Cold Stone is right next to where the Gin Blossoms were playing, so we went over and waited in line there....where Logan discovered her shadow against a wall. It was so cute. So for a hot evening at a tiny grassy area in the middle of a great shopping area with good music and a makeshift dinner followed by Coldstone......it was a very fun time!

My Kind of Town...Chicago is......

Near the end of May, a group of girls from high school got together for a girl's weekend in Chicago. There were 7 of us who reunited, some of them I hadn't seen since our 20 year reunion (in 1991) and a couple since even before that....in the 70's!!!! But we didn't skip a beat and had such a fun time. Not to mention that I FINALLY made it to Chicago. Can't believe I lived so close to it, but had never been there. What a wonderful city! But more than that, what a great rekindling of friendships!

The day was beautiful for breakfast outside!

I see why it's named the Magnificent Mile!

The Chicago River was so pretty!

Some of us went for a walk down Michigan Avenue....it was so windy and cold!!!!(at least for me! ) :) But what a great time!!!

CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK!!!!

LOTS TO CATCH UP ON!

So here I am trying to figure out where to begin .... let's just say April was really a BUSY but FUN month, so I'm going to start there......Kelley and Patrick's wedding was probably THE MAIN EVENT, so even though we focused on that day, all of the activities leading up to it were equally fun!
