I forgot that I had taken this last week at Julie's ! Everyone else was in the kitchen getting ready for a big breakfast, and Jake was just hanging out in the family room. It's so fun with him sitting now!!!!

So on Sunday after church, Kelley, Patrick, Steven, and I went over to see Dad. He was SO happy to see us! It was really cute! His voice even got stronger with us just being there for awhile! OK...so in this pic he was having a bad hair day, and obviously something besides the camera caught his eye, but thought it was still cute. (We only took 1 shot). I went back today and he had on an aqua shirt...truly his best color-matches his eyes-and his hair was all tidied up....he said he remembered the kids being there yesterday....he really liked it! (Steven looks so much like Marty when he was that age!

Groove Merchants Were Back!!!

Our nephew Steven came to town from Florida this weekend, and we kept him really busy! Saturday Kelley and I figured he wouldn't really want to go shopping with us girls to Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, which, by the way, was GREAT!....I'm sure Kelley will be commenting about that, so he and new cousin-in-law Patrick did their own thing....water basketball, rock wall-climbing, Batman movie...boy stuff. Anyway, when we rejoined again, we headed over to Kierland Commons shopping area, where there was to be a Groove Merchants concert "in the park". For those who don't know, that was the band who played at Kel & Patrick's wedding! Patrick's Mom, Lisa, met us there, too, so we got our blankets and chairs spread out and enjoyed the 3 hour concert under the palms! It was rather toasty sitting outside with NO breeze, but the music made it so no one cared. Very fun....and brought back good memories!

What a big year! We celebrated by taking Mom to Olive Garden for a birthday dinner....Julie, Logan, Jake, and Kelley and Patrick joined Doug, me, and Mom, of course! It was a fun night and good to have someone else do the cooking! Following are some of the MANY pix....but you will get a good idea, that even tho it was Mom's birthday, Logan and Jake stole the show....:)
